JTSD offers Open Adult Ballet Classes. Our Stretch & Tone and Pilates classes are also open to adults! Our adult classes provide a wonderful way to release stress and have fun while keeping fit. .
Adult Ballet
JTSD offers Open Adult Ballet classes continuousy regardless of the current school term unless otherwise noted. We work with you to help you reach yoru personal goals. Open Adult Ballet classes are designed for adult dancers with little experience to professionals. Taking ballet as an adult improves posture, balance, coordination, and muscle strength while leading to an improved body image and sense of well-being. Drop-in classes are $20.00. You may also purchase a 10-Class Card for $180.00 and they do not expire. Please call or email prior to attending your first class. Meet us at the barre and let’s enjoy dancing together!
After registering with our school, please pre-register for each class you will attend. Adults may also pre-reigster to drop in to our Pilates class on Saturday mornings from 9:30am-10:30am.
*Class attendance will be reviewed 24 hous prior. If fewer than two students are registered, class will be canceled and you will be notified by email and phone. Pleaes notify us if you are unable to attend either by phone, email, or editing your registration. No-shows will result in a class deduction on your 10-class card, or a drop-in fee. 10-class cards can be purchased in our office for $180.00. The drop-in fee is $20.00.
New to ballet? Dance is for everyone! We believe it is never too late to explore the joy of dance, which is why we offer short Introduction to Ballet workshop classes periodically throughout the year for adult and teen beginners with little or no dance experience. If you are interested in taking ballet for the first time please email or call us and we will put you on a list for our next Introduction class!
Stretch and Tone and Pilates
These classes are structured to help dancers build strength and flexibility that furthers their command of technique. Classes are geared for students Intermediate and Advanced students. Specific exercises are carefully chosen to help prevent injury and promote better body awareness and breathing techniques.
