The Snow Queen is a delightful full-length ballet conceived and created by June Taylor-Dixon that was revived in June 2024. This ballet is based on the Hans Christian Anderson fairy tale and centers on the struggle between good and evil as experienced by a boy and girl, Kai and Gerda. Walt Disney Animation Studios’ Frozen is inspired by “The Snow Queen” although the movie deviates quite a bit from the ballet based on the original fairy tale. Once again at PCC Sylvania Performing Arts Center, all of our students have the unique opportunity to participate in a professionally produced performance.
